Notes
fix of shnid 7640
A very minor fix here, but one that nonetheless improves the listening experience - I deleted a short gap that appears at the end of CD2 and continues at the beginning of CD 3. The silence began and ended at exactly the same place in both channels, and the music flowed smoothly and seamlessly once the gap was deleted, so I can only assume that this counts as a restoration. Resulting SBEs were fixed with shntool.
Although there are no unusual or long jam segments in this show, it pretty much smokes all the way through. First set highlights are Victim, Cumberland,
...
and Cassidy. Help>Slip>Franklin's is pretty standard, but the Slip features fine intricate collaboration in a solid rendition. Estimated contains exceptional play by Brent, in particular. Eyes is still pretty fast at this point; they would slow it down by NYE run and much more so in 1990. Post Midi-enhanced Space and a sweet Wheel, they kick up the intensity with blistering play by Jerry on Mr. Fantasy, and Death Don't. The sound here is excellent; clean and well balanced.
